Plot::Rules::Canons::Application
For the most part, they’re happy. Who are they you ask? The orphans that belong to the one and only Wammy’s House, located in Winchester England and started by, and currently run by, Quillsh Wammy, sometimes known as Watari, a famous inventor, but managed by Roger Ruvie. Sure, it’s not just an orphanage, but a place to train certain, special chosen, orphans. The orphanage serves as a safe place for the residents to explore their young, talented, intelligent minds. Because they can do so, Quillsh and Roger have both set up many tests, one of which has to be passed in order to be accepted into the orphanage. So, so far, every student in the school is a genius.
None more, however, then the genius to who the school tries so hard to become, L. L, the world’s finest detective. L, the one man masked to be unidentified. L, the one they all wish to succeed and replace. Every child, every genius, is given an alias, a letter or name, and forbidden to ever speak their true names again. No more family. No more past. Time to cease to exist. They must become L. They must be able to catch criminals at the same speed, with the same, if not higher, numbers as this one. So, they are found. Found from every orphanage around. Brought to Wammy’s House.
Grades are everything. Everything. More important than their friendships. More important than their lovers. More important than their very lives. There are no more parents. Only people who’s sole purpose in the house is to instruct. So, the students of Wammy’s House aren’t made to have social lives. They aren’t made to be anything less then perfect. They are made to surpass. To be fantastic. To be smarter than anyone.
But, if everyone is so perfect, so smart, so fantastic. Why have several gone insane? Why do several crack under the pressure?
